Group Introduction to Open Water Session
Have you ever wanted to swim in Open Water but worried about how to start? If so, a small group introduction to open water swimming is perfect for you. Maximum of six people on the session.
This 1.5 hour session with a STA Qualified Open Water Swim Coach includes: -
a briefing of what to expect
advice on assessing risks
weather conditions and OW swimming
guidance on entry & exit to open water
open water swim kit guidance
what kit to put on first, and why?
organising your kit for post swim
the easiest way to put on a wetsuit
advice and practising of water acclimatisation skills & techniques
wetsuit removal (It's a skill!)

Group Open Water Development
A session option for those who have swum in Open Water before, and are now wanting to improve skills and technique.
Maximum of six people on the session.

advice on acclimatising to differing water temperatures
swimming straight & sighting
adjustments for stroke technique

Advanced Swimmer
A session for seasoned Open Water Swimmers, who want to train with others, whilst also having the benefit of stroke checks trying maintain a efficient stroke over longer distances, and to reduce injury.
Maximum of six people on the session.
This 1.5 hour 1-2-1 session with a STA Qualified Open Water Swim Coach includes: -
a briefing of what to expect
reminder about the benefits of good acclimatisation techniques
motivation (keeping going) and using mini markers
swimming straight & sighting
adjustments for stroke technique
drafting and overtaking advice and practicing
buoy turns advice and practicing
fueling and hydration during training and before your swim
feeding and hydrating while swimming advice and practice
