1-2-1 Introduction to Open Water Session

Have you ever wanted to swim in Open Water but worried about how to start? If so, a 1-2-1 introduction to open water swimming is perfect for you.

This 1.5 hour session with a STA Qualified Open Water Swim Coach includes: -

  • a briefing of what to expect

  • guidance on entry & exit to open water

  • open water swim kit guidance

  • the easiest way to put on a wetsuit

  • advice and practising of water acclimatisation skills & techniques

  • wetsuit removal (It's a skill!)

  • Q&A

  • Post session photos and videos and analysis

A session option for those who have swum in Open Water before, and are now wanting to improve skills and technique.

This 1.5 hour 1-2-1 session with a STA Qualified Open Water Swim Coach includes: -

  • advice on acclimatising to differing water temperatures

  • swimming straight & sighting

  • adjustments for stroke technique

  • advice on drafting

  • advice on buoy turns

  • long distance swimming skills such as feeding, and training plans
